She was killed by Anne Bonny.

Biography[]

Season One[]

John Silver asks Logan how the fencing operation works in Nassau. Logan explains that the Guthries take it and sell their plunder in legitimate markets. Silver then asks who the Guthries are and Logan says that he just wants to get the task of loading the plunder onto the wagon done with so he can go to the Inn and see Charlotte[1].

Season Two[]

During the Assault on Fort Nassau, Charlotte draws several drafts of a Black flag brothel co-owner Captain Jack Rackham and his new crew. This initial draft was discarded by Rackham as it didn't reflect the scary undertone that he had envisioned. She asked how it should have been drawn to make it look more grim and deadly and he replied that he and her both would know if they had seen the flag. This annoyed Charlotte and she angrily took away the draft paper.

Charlotte giving intel to Rackham

As she is drawing another draft, Rackham and Anne Bonny approach her, and she tells him she cannot work if he keeps crowding her. Rackham asks Charlotte about whether she had any custom with Captain Flint's crewmen. She replied that she has a customer named Logan from the crew who won't let his crew mates to come near her. While he hasn't visited since the crew returned to Nassau, she says that he can never stay away for long. Rackham urged her to ask the customer about Urca gold the next time she sees him. Charlotte informs him that the crew didn't capture the gold after they ran into the Spanish Man O' War, which they captured instead. Rackham says he knows but asks her to indulge him. Before the conversation can continue, Idelle pulls Rackham away[2].

Charlotte telling Max about Logan's arrival

When Logan does finally arrive as predicted, she lets Max know that he has arrived from the beach. As Rackham suspected, Logan and his crew were forbidden from coming to the Inn. Charlotte worries that if the secret they are hiding is this important, maybe it's wiser to leave it alone. Max assures her that she has already brought Logan into her confidence, and all she need do is appear calm and let him talk. After she concludes having sex with Logan, she goes downstairs looking for Max. Instead, Anne Bonny, who has grown increasingly unstable after being excluded from the Colonial Dawn Crew, accosts her, asking if Logan is in her room. Charlotte says she is looking for Max and grows increasingly frightened as Anne gets angrier. Charlotte tells Anne that he admitted the gold was still in Florida, but won't say where, but she will get the location when Logan returns that night. Anne bitterly remarks that they cut her loose from the crew and then leave something this important in the hands of a whore. Anne then rushes upstairs and puts her dagger to Logan's neck and orders him to tell her the location of the gold. Charlotte tries to leave to get Max but Anne orders her to stay put. Anne says that all men betray when it suits them, and right now it suits Logan. Logan turns around and begins insulting Anne, who eventually cuts his throat. When Charlotte protests, she stabs her to death.

When Max returns from her shopping trip, Idelle informs her of what has happened, and goes to fetch the doorman but Max stops her and tells her to watch the door while she goes inside the room, where she promises to protect Anne. John Silver eventually arrives looking for Logan ahead of the captaincy election, and is shocked when Max shows him what has transpired. To prevent reprisals against her, he comes up with a story that Logan deserted, not wanting to die in the bloody fight to take the fort, so he fled with his love Charlotte to his brother in Providence[3].

That night, Max assures a shaken Anne that all the girls downstairs are discussing how Charlotte and Logan fled together. Idelle later tells Max that what happened to Charlotte isn't something the girls know how to protect themselves against. They are worried that Max hasn't evicted Anne because she fears retribution. Idelle says that there are men they can go to to protect her from Max. Max stops her from saying more and says that Anne was the only one who cared about her when Vane's men were brutalizing her on the beach. As long as Max is around, the Inn will be a safe place for Anne. Before Idelle leaves, Max says to tell the girls she understands their concern and her door is open if any of them wish to talk. When Silver arrives after Flint wins the election, he says they have something to discuss. Max asks if it's about Charlotte and Logan and Silver replies that he heard they fled to Providence, and instead says he has something else they need to talk about[4].

After hearing a report from one of her spies at the Inn, Mrs. Mapleton then meets with Eleanor Guthrie, revealing that she has been hired by Eleanor to keep an eye on what Max is doing in the brothel. She tells Eleanor that Charlotte has disappeared, allegedly fleeing with Logan away from Nassau. Mapleton knows this cannot be true, as Charlotte entrusted Mapleton with her savings, which she still possesses. She tells Eleanor that she believes Max and Rackham are conspiring to send the Colonial Dawn to retrieve the gold whilst Flint is taking Abigail back to Charles Town[5].

Season Four[]

After Anne asks Idelle to find a ship for her so she can leave Philadelphia, Idelle chastises her. She reminds Anne that she killed Charlotte, a friend of Idelle's, for reasons that had nothing to do with her. Idelle knew men who would have killed Anne if she asked, she had the money and wanted to, but Max prevented her from doing so. Idelle couldn't tell if it was because Max was afraid of her, which Idelle wouldn't blame her for, for she herself was afraid of Anne. Idelle obeyed Max's wishes and helped protect Max. She says she did all this because Max has been told by the world every day that she is unworthy of what she desires or what little she has, she never believed it. Max has been fighting the world since the day she's been born and is a breath away from winning that fight. For some reason, Max wants to share the spoils with Anne, but Anne wants to walk away. Idelle tells Anne once again that she killed Idelle's friend, and she wanted her to know that. Before she leaves, she cuts Anne a slice of bread[6].
