Hannah New is an actress in the TV series Black Sails, playing the role of Eleanor Guthrie.
Personal life[]
New was born in London, England. At four, she started taking ballet. As she grew up, her hobbies began moving towards acting. She eventually joined The National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.
Besides acting, Hannah also has a love of cultures, and has travelled to over twenty countries. Some of the countries include Bolivia, where she volunteered in children's homes. After Bolivia, she attended Leeds University, reading English and Spanish. While there she also preformed in several stage productions in both languages. She then moved to Barcelona, Spain, and studied there for three years, further mastering the language.
Acting career[]
After graduating, New landed her first acting role in the U.S. as one of the leads in Shelter.
While shooting the first seasons of Black Sails, Hannah also played the role of 'Leila,' the mother of young Princess Aurora in Walt Disney Pictures' Maleficent.
