Biography[]

Season One[]

After the orgy with the prostitutes in the InnMax confronts John Silver, asking why his eyes kept drifting towards the Urca schedule. Silver tries to get it back, but Max threatens that one scream from her will cause Noonan to come. Silver says he is fine with that, saying he'll tell Noonan that his whores steal from their customers. Max replies that Noonan will then let Flint know that Silver is hiding something of great value from the last prize[1]

The morning after a night together, Max suggests that Eleanor by the Inn and that she could be her partner. Eleanor asks how she thinks Noonan would feel about this, and Max replies that what Noonan thinks will soon be of no concern to her.

After Charles Vane injures Max while she tries to make the deal with Jack Rackham to exchange the schedule for 5000 pesos worth of pearls, Noonan attempts to interrogate her while Idelle tends to her bruises. When Eleanor Guthrie arrives, Noonan says that maybe she'll be able to get Max to talk. Max insists she is fine, but Noonan says that she nearly got herself killed by Vane, and he wants to know why. Eleanor asks Noonan to leave them to talk privately, and he takes Idelle with him as he exits. As Max prepares to leave, Idelle tells her she doesn't have to leave, citing the fact that Noonan has put men at her door and Eleanor has put another three downstairs. Max is adamant however, and asks Idelle's help in escaping, to which Idelle agrees[2]

Vane kills Noonan S1E4

After the events that caused Vane the loss of his ship and crew, Max went to serve exclusively for Vane and the few members of his crew that stayed with him. Noonan, outraged, confronted Jack Rackham, but was chased off by Anne Bonny, who had become upset with Noonan's treatment of Max, especially his referral to the latter as "whore". Anne suggests that Noonan try and take Max himself. Noonan replies that he's noticed fewer and fewer men by Vane's tent, and that he might try and do so soon. Noonan later attempts to get even by ambushing Vane in a back alley. While they are able to beat him and put a gun to his head, the pistol misfires and Vane snaps back and kills the two men protecting Noonan, and stabs him in the leg. Noonan begs for mercy, promising money if he is spared, but Vane puts his boot to Noonan's neck, and breaks it[3]

Afterwards, Jack Rackham takes over ownership of the Inn when he tells Mrs. Mapleton that Noonan sold it to him before leaving for Port Royal. Mapleton suspects foul play and makes this plain, but Jack offers her a raise from 3% of gross to 40 and she takes the deal[4]

When Jack attempts to fire Mapleton for embezzlement, she threatens to tell all the merchants what happened to Noonan, who will then see Jack hanged. However, Max points out that all the merchants are currently enjoying steep discounts for the Inn's services, and are unlikely to care. Anne later chastises Jack for letting Mapleton go, as she is spreading stories about how they had a hand in Noonan's death. Jack says this is of no concern to them, as the only people who would care are "elbow deep in free prostitute" in the brothel[5]
