Meganne Young is a South African actress who portrayed Abigail Ashe on Black Sails.
Personal Life[]
Young was born in Cape Town to a South African father and an Australian mother. She spent her childhood moving around, with stints in Nigeria, Switzerland, and Sri Lanka where she took the International Baccalaureate at the Overseas School of Colombo. She pursued at an Advanced Diploma in Acting at the CityVarsity Cape Town campus, completing in 2011, before going on to graduate from the Guildford School of Acting in England as a part-time distance learner in 2014[1].
Acting Career[]
Young began her career in theatre and short films. Young then had appearances in the films The Giver and Eye in the Sky. In Season Two, Young joined the cast of Black Sails in the recurring role of Abigail Ashe, appearing in nine episodes of the season. After her role concluded, she had guest appearances in Supernatural and Legends of Tomorrow. Young was cast as Rachel in the Netflix original movie The Kissing Booth, and she reprised the role in the two sequels[1].
